| A look to our company history reaches as far back as the year 1859. In this year, Albert Martz founded a retail shop in Stuttgart, Germany offering supplies for artists and architects. Only a few years later, the production of the first drawing utensils, drafting equipment and artists' paints followed. In 1909, the company’s products obtained the ''Marabu'' trademark. After more than 50 years of successful development, a (building) site was purchased in 1914 in Tamm near Ludwigsburg to cater to the increased production. Production started in 1918. |
